SOS Kit Aid Donation from the Orkney Islands

Another first for SOS KITAID, this time we are delighted to receive our most Northerly UK Kit Donation to date......(that is unless Shetland Rugby Club wants to take this record for themselves !! )

Dougie Sloan, SOS Kit Aid Scottish Regional Director, recently collected a complete set of almost brand new shirts, shorts and socks, kindly donated by Orkney RFC.

However, Dougie did not even have to leave the mainland to make this pick up.

He had arranged with the Orkney Rugby Development Officer, John Cairns, to have the kit brought to the mainland by the clubs 1st XV who were travelling down to Ardrossan Accies RFC in Ayrshire for a BT National League fixture.

It was arranged to meet up with the Islanders Club President Brian Lanni at the Ardrossan clubhouse for the hand over. Dougie assured Brian and the Orkney players that he would ensure this kit continued to keep travelling until it reached its new worthy recipients.
