SOS Kit Aid

Sale Sharks and Wales rugby star, Andy Powell, has shown his support for LV= SOS Kit Aid this week. The Welsh number eight's support comes ahead of the LV= SOS Kit Aid Big Kit Challenge, which will see Sale, Bath, London Wasps, Scarlets and Worcester competing to collect the most rugby kit before the end of the LV= Cup weekend of fixtures on 4 February.

The pictures below show the Welsh International making use of LV= SOS Kit Aid recycle bins kindly donated by Gail Powell (Andy's mother) of Brecon Recycling.

The bins have been placed at Llandovery RFC and several other schools in the Brecon area to collect kit for the kit recycling initiative.

Sale Sharks and Wales rugby star Andy Powell stated, "I was fortunate to see the kit being distributed to young children in Soweto during the Lions tour there in 2009. The enjoyment on their faces was great to see."

Wales Co-ordinator Ken Thomas said, " It's fantastic to have Andy and Gail on board and it helps us expand our programme in Wales. As someone who has seen the kit being distributed at the other end of our operation, Andy is able to provide valuable feedback to us."
