WRITHLINGTON SCHOOL HOLD KIT COLLECTION DAY TO CELEBRATE LAUNCH OF NEW CRICKET ACADEMY

Writhlington School recently held an LV= SOS Kit Aid kit collection on the opening day of its cricket academy. The school has previously been involved with the LV= SOS Kit Aid initiative and opted to hold a collection day to celebrate the launch of the new cricket academy.

Pupils were encouraged to collect as much kit as possible for the initiative which provides second hand and new rugby/cricket kit to disadvantaged children in the UK and overseas. Those who collected the most kit were rewarded at the launch of the cricket academy with cricket coaching from top professional cricket coaches Adam Hall and Mike Henderson.

David Smith, HR Director at LV= commented: “We have worked with Writhlington School on many occasions in the past and we are delighted that they have chosen to support LV= SOS Kit Aid to celebrate the launch of their cricket academy. It is really a great cause that we love being involved with. We are proud supporters of UK cricket and believe that this initiative can help us encourage future generations to get involved in the sport.”
