SOS Kit Aid

Scottish Collections Have a Successful Re-Start

SOS KIT AID in Scotland is once again up and running after restricted operation during COVID-19

Dougie is back out collecting kit throughout Scotland.

Hutchesson’s Grammar School

First physical pick up was made from Hutchesson’s Grammar School in Glasgow. Many thanks to School PTA, Roy Amner, Staff, Pupils. A special thank you to “Andy the Janny” for carrying all those bags , up all those stairs. Cheers for that.

Merchiston Castle School

Dougie also received a welcomed donation from Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh via a mailed package from, Flora McPhail Chalmers East Housemother . Thanks to all at Merchi for this.

AND FINALLY : Just to prove that Rugby does indeed connect people in the World / Country.

Dougie had received an offer of kit from an Andy Minellas from Aberdeenshire. After a follow up phone call to establish a connection, it turns out that Andy had in the past, turned out for Dougie’s club Greenock Wanderers in the late 1990’s while he was working in the Greenock area. He was working on a submarine being built on the Clyde. Thanks for your “mailed in” donation Andy it is very much appreciated.
