Many thanks to Okehampton RFC, who kindly donated 3 boxes of surplus kit; old shirts, balls and a few boots for youngsters. This was organised by Clare Hooper, Vice Chair of the Junior Section and collected by David Dodgeon of SOS Kit Aid, Devon. Two Junior section members formally handed this great haul to David, on 17 September, outside their ground in Okehampton.

The Club was formed in 1884 and runs three senior men’s teams, a colt’s team and multiple junior teams. Nicknamed the ‘Okes’, the club’s colours are maroon and gold and they play home games at the Showground. The first team currently play in the Regional 2 South-West League. Like all thriving clubs in the area, they are always looking for new players, so if you live locally, please go along and see them!

With the support of World Rugby, kit has been donated by; schools, clubs and kit manufacturers, from across the UK, with an estimated value of over £10m. Over 900 deliveries have been made around the world and well over a quarter of a million youngsters have benefitted, from over 70 countries across the world.
