Great achievements, despite a difficult year

Once again, Christmas is upon us, and it is always a time to reflect on how the year has gone and a chance to take stock and plan for the year ahead.

Many charities  struggled during a difficult 2021 with funding and logistical complications caused by both COVID and Brexit. However, although the year presented a variety of challenges, there’s a lot to be proud of here at SOS Kit Aid.

Here’s our top six achievements:-

  • We celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a variety of well-wishers, including Sir Bill Beaumont
  • We reached our ambitious 2021 target of 40 BIG rugby kit deliveries, despite the challenges of COVID and Brexit
  • We continued our annual golf days, and delivered three phenomenally successful events across the UK, raising much needed funds
  • We made first-time deliveries to seven developing rugby countries including Paraguay; Bolivia; Loas: Tonga; Caymen Islands; Montenegro and the British Virgin Isles
  • We launched our brilliant new website, sponsored by Astra Security Ltd
  • A major sponsorship deal was announced with Big Yellow Storage Company, who are providing ongoing, invaluable and crucial free storage

We’d like to thank our wonderful UK/Irish kit donors, SOS volunteers, World Rugby and other kind partners and sponsors.  We look forward to working closely with them all next year.

So, that leaves us with the final message on behalf of SOS Kit Aid of wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!
