Last month, our SOS Kit Aid Volunteer, Andy Vick did a kit collection around South and West Wales – and what a great haul it turned out to be!

Andy visited five rugby clubs, one football club and two schools and had one private donation, which resulted in a completely full car load! Once the kit was collected, it was dropped off to our Storage Partner, Big Yellow, in Cardiff.

This is a fantastic example of communities coming together to support our charity, which recycles and distributes the kit to disadvantaged young people around the world.

Andy said, “It was a really good day of collecting donations, and great to see the variety of clubs making an effort. I’d like to say a big thank you to all those involved in helping to make this happen.”

Donations were made by the following:-

-Narberth Rugby Club 2nd’s team.

-Wales Furnace Football in Llanelli.

-Briton Ferry RFC

– A school in Cowbridge

– Glamorgan Wanderers RFC.

– Llandaff School

– Pentyrch Rugby Club

– A local school in Fairwater

We are more than just a charity which recycles sports kit. Through our network of relationships, we harness the power of rugby and sport to make a positive impact on young people’s lives through sporting activities that promote healthy lifestyles, life skills and friendship. On top of that, we help protect the environment by saving valuable UK landfill sites from vast amounts of unwanted kit and reducing harmful Co2 emissions.
