SOS Kit Aid 16th South West Golf Day took place at Kingsdown Golf Club Nr Bath last Friday, with a full house of 37 teams.

The weather was okay, the beer buggies were in full flow and oh yes, the golf was pretty good judging by some of the scores.

A range of stunning prizes were on offer, including a new car, courtesy of Andy Lane at Lane Pearson UK of Bristol, plus a prize being offered on every hole for some sort of shot!

A huge thanks goes out to our Ambassadors , sponsors, supporters and volunteers and of course those who took part on the day, especially everyone at Kingsdown Golf Club who supported and worked tirelessly to make the day run smoothly.  We were also joined by representatives from the Ukrainian Rugby Federation, who are recent recipients of a large kit donation.

John Broadfoot, MBE and CEO of SOS Kit Aid said, “Thanks to everyone for making this a stunning day, to raise much needed funds to enable recycled rugby kit to be transported around the world, to benefit disadvantaged youngsters.” He continued, “These days are always a great way for catching up, having some fun, and of course ensuring that our charity can receive valuable funding to enable us to continue the great work that we do.”

Richard Westaway of SOS Kit Aid added, “It was again a hugely successful day for SOS made so very poignant and also a little bit special by having our friends from the Ukrainian Rugby Federation with us too, to share their situation and the work they continue to do under extremely difficult conditions . The support everyone gave for the golf day enables SOS Kit Aid to continue with the much needed help.

A massive thank you to everyone at Kingsdown GC for the warm welcome and working so hard alongside SOS Kit Aid in hosting the event.”
